Dyslexia & Literacy Specialist
I'm Farrin McCue, a speech-language pathologist specializing in dyslexia, literacy, and structured literacy intervention.
For nearly 20 years, I've worked with children and families across educational, clinical, and private-practice settings. My approach brings together evidence-based literacy intervention, speech-language expertise, and nervous-system-informed support.
I feel deeply grateful for the opportunity to work with children and to create a space where each child feels safe, understood, encouraged, and genuinely delighted in.
More Than Learning to Read
For many children who have struggled academically, reading becomes about much more than words on a page. They may begin to experience anxiety, frustration, avoidance, perfectionism, or a loss of confidence around learning.
My approach is nervous-system informed. Alongside evidence-based literacy instruction, I intentionally incorporate regulation, connection, and emotional safety into my sessions.
This allows me to support not only the development of strong reading and spelling skills, but also your child's growing confidence in their own abilities.
Because learning happens best when a child feels safe enough to believe, “I can do this.”

Dyslexia & Structured Literacy Intervention
Individualized, evidence-based intervention for children with dyslexia and other reading and spelling challenges. Using explicit, systematic, multisensory instruction, I help children develop the skills they need to become stronger, more confident readers and spellers.
Literacy Assessment & Consultation
Targeted screenings and comprehensive literacy assessments help identify your child's unique pattern of strengths and challenges and guide individualized recommendations for intervention and support.
Speech & Language Services
As a licensed speech-language pathologist, I also provide individualized assessment and intervention for speech sound, phonological, and language-based needs, particularly when these challenges intersect with literacy development.
Parents are an important part of the process. I provide ongoing communication, education, and practical ways to support your child's learning and confidence at home.
